A person died and four others were injured when a jeep heading to Solukhumbhu from Kathmandu met with an accident today at Hiberbesi in Basheshowri-8, Sindhuli.

Ratna Bahadur Tamang, driver of the jeep (Na 1 Ja 3607) died in the accident. Those injured have been indentified as French nationals, and two Nepalis from Solukhumbu— Pemba Sherpa, 40 and Kang Dhungi Sherpa, 61.

According to the passengers, the driver was talking over his mobile phone when the accident took place.

Naresh Subedi, Deputy Superintendent of Police in the District Police Office Sindhuli said that the injured are receiving treatment at the Tamakoshi Hospital in Ramechhap. RSS
