Minister for Industry, Mahesh Basnet said that 35,000 youths are likely to get employment in industries run by foreign investors soon.
Speaking at a news conference organised by the Palpa chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) today, Basnet said that foreign investors were awarded permission to run 150 industries at the investment of Rs 80 billion in Nepal.
Basnet said that the number of youths leaving home for greener pastures abroad could decrease if more industries are brought into operation. He further added that it was necessary to review the Industry Policy for the same.
He said although investors were ready to invest in the industry sector, political instability has discourgaed them. RSS
