Janaboli/20 Feb, Kathmandu. Senior leader of the CPN (UML), Jhalanath Khanal, has said that the new constitution would be promulgated within three months through consensus among political parties.
At a program organised by the Ministry of Industry here today, Khanal said, “We haven’t reached agreed upon the issue of federalism in the new constitution. Constitution will be promulgated within three months after forging consensus on it.”
Blaming the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-based political parties of trying to walk out of the Constituent Assembly (CA), he said initiatives were underway to bring them to CA.
The former Prime Minister said that the new constitution was indispensible to institutionalize the achievements gained at different periods. RSS
